I recently discovered Markdown, and it’s completely changed my workflow. I use it for my webpages, letters, even emails.

Markdown helps me forget all about Microsoft Word and other WYSIWYG editors. I can process Markdown into HTML, PDF, and numerous other formats.

The best reference I can recommend for Markdown is the MacSparky Field Guide – Markdown. David Sparks and Eddie Smith do a fantastic job presenting every aspect of Markdown.

I’ve found Fletcher Penney’s app MultiMarkdown Composer to be very helpful, supporting expanded Markdown functions including footnotes, tracking changes, and more! Who needs Microsoft Word anymore? I don’t.
